# WHAT TO TRY — A5 Sending Stones ("Rune Slate")

Open `index.html` in a browser (Chrome/Edge for voice; typing works everywhere).

1. **Type a sending:** write in Stone A's box → **Cast typed message →** Stone B **glows**, and the message appears in its inbox. Now look at Stone A: it has gone **SPENT until dawn**.
2. **Feel the discipline:** try to cast from Stone A again — its buttons are disabled. In D&D, each stone casts *sending* **once per dawn**, and the gold panel keeps that constraint visible instead of hiding it.
3. **The honest cheat:** click **DEMO OVERRIDE — recharge both stones now** — it works, and it *labels itself a cheat in writing* on the panel. Or uncheck the limit to houserule it off entirely.
4. **Voice sending:** with charges available, click Stone B's **Hold to speak** button, allow the microphone, speak, click again to finish — Stone A lights up with a playable voice note (recorded and played on this page only; nothing uploads).
5. **No-mic path:** deny the microphone (or use a browser without MediaRecorder) — the stone prints that voice is unavailable and typing still works.
