# WHAT TO TRY — B1 Memo Rescue ("Tape Deck Amber")

Open `index.html` in any modern browser (double-click the file, or serve the folder). No install, no account, no microphone.

1. **Read the amber pipeline panel first.** It says what the real product is — Pavilion drop folder → local faster-whisper bench → this page — and that this demo's transcripts are **invented SAMPLES, not transcribed audio**. If that distinction isn't obvious in 10 seconds, the page failed its main job.
2. **Search across everything:** type `dentist`, `invoice`, `shelf`, or `tomatoes` in the one search box. Memos filter live and the counter under the box updates.
3. **Search a task word:** try `book` or `replace` — task lines are inside the search too, not just titles.
4. **Count the tasks:** every highlighted amber line starting "▸ TASK —" is an extracted task line. There are **14 across 7 SAMPLE memos**. Ask: would this extraction be enough to act on without re-listening?
5. **Clear the search** — all 7 memos come back.
6. **Search nonsense** (`zzzzz`) — you get an honest no-results line with suggestions, not a blank page.

The real test this prototype is staging for: one real pile of your own memos, dropped in the Pavilion folder, timed end-to-end. That run is a separate commission — this page only proves the reading end is worth feeding.
