What this does
Paste any manual, how-to, repair guide, or recipe into the box below. This page splits it into big, followable step cards — one step at a time — so you can work with one hand, greasy hands, or tired eyes and never lose your place scrolling a wall of text.
Privacy, printed plainly: Nothing is stored unless you press the labelled SAVE button below. By default this is paste-and-go — close the tab and the pasted text is gone. There are no accounts, no uploads, and no network calls in this file. A saved guide lives only in this browser on this device (localStorage) until you clear it.
How splitting works — the rules, in plain words
- First try — numbered lines: if the text has numbered lines like
1.or1)orStep 3:, each numbered line starts a new card. Words after the number become that card. Lines without a number underneath a numbered line belong to that same card. - Next try — blank-line paragraphs: if there are no numbered lines, the text is split on blank lines — each paragraph separated by an empty line becomes one card.
- Last try — plain lines: if there are no numbered lines and no blank lines, each plain line becomes one card.
The rules run in that priority order, every time: numbered lines first, then blank-line paragraphs, then plain lines. If the box is empty, you get an honest no steps found message — not a crash and not a fake card. You can fix a bad split two ways: use the Merge and Split buttons on each card below, or edit the pasted text and press Make Step Cards again.
9 steps found
Follow mode: one card full-screen in very large type, a huge NEXT button (and BACK), progress like “Step 3 of 9”, and → / ← arrow keys work too. Press Esc to exit.
Keep screen on
Phones dim mid-job. The toggle below asks the browser to keep the screen awake using the WakeLock API where the browser offers it.
If WakeLock is not offered, the status prints UNAVAILABLE and nothing breaks — just tap your screen now and then, or change your phone's screen timeout for the job.

Your cards — list view
Each card has Merge ↓ (join this card with the next one) and Split ✂ (break this card into two at its middle sentence or middle word). Those controls shipped in this v1 — see the build record.
