# WHAT TO TRY — B-13 Resurfacer ("Morning Window Linen")

Open `index.html` in any modern browser (double-click the file, or serve the folder). No install, no account, nothing sent anywhere — thoughts live only in this browser's localStorage, on this device.

1. **Read the law at the top.** That banner is the whole product: *Forgiving by construction. Snoozing is success. Nothing here turns red, nothing counts your misses, and there is no such thing as overdue.* Everything below is that sentence, implemented.
2. **Look at "This morning."** Three invented thoughts are already there, each stamped **SAMPLE**: *water the fern* · *refill the bird feeder* · *return the library book to the porch bin*. They arrived a few minutes before you opened the page, so the morning view demonstrates itself.
3. **Snooze one of them.** The page answers: **"Snoozed — that's the system working."** The thought moves to "Resting until their morning," set for tomorrow. Snoozing is not a failure state anywhere in this app — try snoozing the same thought again tomorrow (or via the demo clock) and notice nothing about its treatment ever changes.
4. **Done one, let go of one.** **Done** answers with a warm word and files the thought under "Done — carried through." **Let go** files it under "Let go — released, with thanks for noticing it at all." Read both archive headings: there is no third, sadder archive.
5. **Capture a thought of your own.** One field, type it, press Enter. The answer is "Kept. It will be here tomorrow morning." Time how long it takes — the design target is two seconds, and there is nothing else you *can* fill in. It appears under "Resting," with its arrival time shown plainly.
6. **Run the demo clock.** In the dashed **Demo clock** panel (labeled **SIMULATED** — it never touches your real clock), tap **"Jump to the next morning (simulated)."** Your captured thought moves into "This morning." Then tap **"+ 1 day (simulated)"** a few times *without touching the thought*: it simply stays in the morning view, state unchanged, page unchanged. That is fixture T5 with your own eyes — days passing do nothing to a thought. Tap **"Back to real time"** when finished.
7. **Set your morning.** Change "Your morning time" (default 7:00) — thoughts you capture afterwards arrive at the new time. Thoughts already resting keep the morning they were promised.
8. **Clear the samples.** Tap **"Clear SAMPLE thoughts (one tap)"** in the archive section. Reload the page: the samples do not come back, and anything you captured is still there.

The real test this prototype is staging for: one real user with a real forgetting problem, fourteen days of genuine mornings. That run is a separate commission — and under this design law, a run where everything gets snoozed every day still counts as the system working.
