# WHAT TO TRY — B2 Photo Rent Escape ("Darkroom Ledger")

Open `index.html` in any modern browser (double-click the file, or serve the folder). No install, no account. **It will not ask for, see, or touch a single real photo.**

1. **Read the fence box first:** originals stay on YOUR server; nothing here uploads anything. That sentence is the product.
2. **Read the Escape Report as printed** for the SAMPLE library: 4,213 photos · 612 screenshots · 388 duplicates · 214 junk → **1,214 reclaimable items · 4.856 GB reclaimed · $60.00/year** at the SAMPLE $5/month fee.
3. **Drag the library-size slider** up and down. Every tally, the reclaim GB, and the after-escape size recompute live. The exact-number box beside the slider accepts a precise figure.
4. **Drag the cloud-fee slider to your real fee** (or type it). Watch the per-year line and the green "You could stop paying when…" line rewrite themselves with your number.
5. **Set the fee to $0.** The report must stop claiming savings — the stop-paying line switches to "there is no rent to escape." A savings tool that invents savings at $0 is lying; check that this one doesn't.
6. **Do the doubling check:** set the library to exactly **8,426** photos and the fee to **$10** — the ledger should read exactly double the SAMPLE case: 776 duplicates · 1,224 screenshots · 428 junk · 9.712 GB reclaimed · $120.00/year. (Fixture-verified; see FIXTURES-B2.md.)

The real test this prototype is staging for: one real phone library through a home-vault importer, before/after storage bill in hand. That run is a separate commission — this page proves the report, and the math on it, are worth trusting.
