# WHAT TO TRY — B-04 Backpack Flyer ("Backpack Coral")

Open `index.html` in any modern browser (double-click the file, or serve the folder). No install, no account — and nothing you do on this page is saved anywhere. **PROTOTYPE — parent tooling only.**

1. **Read the yellow privacy panel first.** It is the whole law of this tool in four lines: parent tooling about logistics, stores NOTHING, the photo is gone when the tab closes, and no child's name is ever entered — the fields are event fields only. If that isn't clear in 10 seconds, the page failed its first job.
2. **Run the whole flow with no photo — tap "Use the built-in SAMPLE flyer."** A drawn flyer appears: "SAMPLE — Riverbend Elementary Book Fair," a fictional school, Thursday, November 12, 2026, 3:30–6:30 PM. The form fills itself in beside it. This is the flow, end to end, on invented data.
3. **Check the outputs the sample produced.** The checklist has exactly **3 boxes** (Shopping list · Cash or card for books · Reusable tote bag). The dark **deadline card** says **2026-11-10**. Permission slip reads No, so there is no slip line.
4. **Download the calendar file.** Tap "Download .ics calendar file" and open the file in your calendar app: one event, **Nov 12, 2026, 3:30–6:30 PM**, at Riverbend Elementary Library, with the bring list in its notes — and an alarm set for **9:00 AM on Nov 10**, the deadline. The preview panel above the button shows the exact file text, folding and all.
5. **Now use a real flyer photo of your own** (any photo works for the test): drag it onto the drop zone, or tap "Pick a flyer photo." It shows large, in this page only. Change the photo — the old one is released, not kept. Then read the flyer with your own eyes and type the event facts in. The green OCR panel says why your eyes are the reader for now, honestly.
6. **Edit like you're at the school gate, one-handed.** Add a fourth bring item on a new line — a fourth checkbox appears as you type. Flip permission slip to **Yes** — a slip line joins the checklist. Clear the deadline — the dark card and the calendar alarm both disappear.
7. **Prove the privacy law: close the tab and reopen the file.** Photo, form, checklist — all gone. That emptiness is the product working as designed, not losing your data: the only thing that ever left the page is the .ics file you chose to download in step 4.

The real test this prototype is staging for: five real flyers from a real backpack, timed — photo to calendar file, at the kitchen counter. The OCR wiring (house bench reads the photo, you confirm the fields) is the named next step, in the build record.
