# WHAT TO TRY — B8 One-Page Ops ("Ops Ledger Slate")

Open `index.html` in any modern browser (double-click the file, or serve the folder). No install, no account. **Nothing is sent anywhere** — that's printed on the page and it's literally true: the file makes no network calls.

1. **Look at the SAMPLE one-pager already loaded.** It's an invented card-show vendor (Harborlight Cards — fictional), stamped **SAMPLE**. Three panels: **Bookings ahead** with the next show highlighted **NEXT** · **Open orders** totaling **$365.00 at stake** · **Unpaid invoices** totaling **$415.00 owed**, with one flagged **OVERDUE** in plain text. The dates are relative to today on purpose, so NEXT and OVERDUE always show.
2. **Check the arithmetic with your eyes:** under each total, the page prints the addition itself — $145.00 + $220.00 = $365.00 and $175.00 + $240.00 = $415.00. Note the shipped order ($89.50) and the paid invoice ($120.00) are *not* in those sums — the filters are the product.
3. **Read the input contract box** above the paste area: one combined CSV, header `type, ref, date, name, description, amount, due, status`, with a per-type column table and one example line per type.
4. **Break it on purpose:** paste the samples, then change one amount to `not-a-price` and delete a field from another row. Click **Update the one-pager**. The report line must count **2 malformed rows** and list both line numbers with reasons — nothing silently dropped — while the good rows still render.
5. **Try a quoted field:** add an order row whose item contains a comma, wrapped in double quotes (e.g. `"Cards, lots and slabs"`). It should appear as one item, not two columns.
6. **Clear the samples:** click **Clear samples**. The board empties to honest empty states. Reload the page — the samples do **not** come back (that's localStorage, on this device only). **Reload SAMPLE data** brings them back whenever you want.
7. **Print it:** click **Print this one-pager**. The preview should show just the header and the three panels — no paste box, no buttons.
8. **The real test, when you're ready:** build one real CSV from one real show week (bookings, open orders, unpaid invoices — your own file, typed or exported), paste it in, and see if the one page is the page you'd actually open on a Monday. That run is a separate commission; this prototype stages it.

The demand this is staging for (QS-12): one solo seller's whole working life — bookings, orders, invoices — in one local place, with no platform account connected.
